You may have experienced a bit of shock when you went into a store to buy a new television. Because of the newly introduced technology in the market, television prices have skyrocketed. Because flat panel TVs are relatively new technology, they have not had the same time as a CRT TV to obtain a more attractive price. It has to do with manufacturing economics; the manufacturer of the product needs time to streamline the manufacturing costs in order to bring prices down. They are not out to gouge customers, the simply have not had the required amount of time to catch up on the evolving technology and manufacturing costs in order to bring down the prices.

Even though they cost a bit more, you are still getting a better deal when you buy a Vizio plasma TV opposed to an inexpensive LCD TV model. When purchasing a Vizio plasma TV, the extra money you spend has nothing to do with the brand name, it simply has to do with the better quality construction and components that go into creating a Vizio plasma TV.

If you decide to purchase a cheap LCD TV, you will run the risk of poor quality and the TV will break within one or two years and if it doesn’t break, it will almost certainly lose picture quality very quickly. Most people who buy a cheap LCD television will not purchase the extended warranty because it costs almost as much as the TV. Keeping this in mind, there is no reason to purchase a cheap LCD TV when a Vizio TV costs only slightly more.

Cruise Travel Home Business:

You’ve gone on your first or your 100th cruise and loved it. Did you ever consider starting a cruise travel agency? You enjoy the searching for the perfect cruise for yourself and everyone around you. You like setting up and taking care of all the arrangements. If this sounds exciting and fun, why not profit from it, and start your own travel agency.

The travel industry currently shows $4 trillion annually spent in flights, cruises, cars, hotels and more. The amount is expected to continue growing as more people are living in two-income families and have access to more money. Why not take part of the $4 trillion for yourself, and let your travel home business pay for your next cruise.

If you have considered starting a home business, but are afraid to quit your full-time job, a travel home business is just right for you. You can start the business part time, and expand it slowly or quickly. No matter what the reason, this is a pajama job that will grow quickly and show results almost immediately.

Starting a cruise travel home business does have start up costs. Depending on the route you take to open your business will affect the start up cost of your home business, however, many have only minimal costs. These start up costs include national organization fees, software fees, and possibly affiliation fees, depending on how you want to work your business. You have many options available.

The first step is to start researching the the industry. Check out all websites and books published by National Organizations affiliated with travel and cruise agents, such as the National Association of Commissioned Travel Agents. These resources will give you information on affiliation with a parent travel agency as an independent contractor, and steps on how to pursue a travel home business from the ground up.

Either way you decide to go, it is best to create a brief general business plan. You can download a sample business plan from the Small Business Administration website, or go to the local office for a copy. This plan will help you understand what you will need to do to be successful and how to budget for profit. This plan is dynamic and ever changing and should be updated frequently.

Becoming affiliated with a large travel agency gives your business a few benefits. Some of the benefits include the reservation software training, support, updates, newsletters, and industry best practices. They have established industry connections all you need to do is find travelers.

Your travel agency will usually take off quickly, when associated with a large parent travel agency. You do not have to worry about setting prices for your services either. The parent company will set the prices and you will receive up to 50% of each reservation you book. This takes the anxiety and frustration out of worrying about profits and losses you have to contend with when setting your own prices.

The other option requires more work. You research reservation software, and talk to companies within the industry to establish connections. This option can have a higher start up cost and will take longer to show a profit for two main reasons. Until you get comfortable with the pricing of your services, you will have a trial and error phase that can create losses to your cruise travel agency. But once you get the hang of it, the profit is yours. Second, you have to contact hotels, car rental companies, airlines, cruise lines, and such and build relationships, which can take time.

However, it is not important which way you decide to start your travel agency. You will receive benefits as well as profits. These benefits may be better if you work with a travel agency but you get benefits either way. These benefits include up to 50% discounts on hotels and vacation packages, up to 70% discount on cruises, and much more.

If you decide to expand your travel agency to include other types of travel, it is much easier when associated with a larger travel agency. If you built your cruise travel home business yourself, you will need to make more contacts and create new relationships to be able to compete.

Now you have some information about a cruise travel home business. You need to look at industry periodicals, books, and websites to decide on your next step. In any event, this cruise travel home business will have your vacations and cruises paid for by your clients at discounted rates. For those who love to travel this business is perfect.

You will have great advantages when you are buying MP3 player, because you have the opportunity sharing great quality music with others without burning a hole in your pocket. However, you should make sure you have the speakers that are most suited for your needs if you buy any of mp3 speakers.

In fact, there are several companies that make MP3 player speakers that can be attached to your player and get more listening pleasure, although MP3 players do not come with their own speakers and normally give people to listening to music through ear buds. They are also more convenient and provide quality music listening pleasure as well with not having to fumble about for CDs and cassettes. To share music with family, you are helped by portable speakers. Without being glued to it, you can listen to music from your player with the help of these speakers. You will find a separate speaker on each different arm of the tripod’s legs. A great experience is offered by portable MP3 players to those who love to listen to music as easy to carry and use. You can attach MP3 player speakers, typically to docking systems or can be connected to your PC that also recharge MP3 player.

When choosing MP3 speakers, you can see the big difference such as watts per channel, the number of channels, and separate subwoofers. Here, there are some of the best speakers for MP3 player: Bose Sound Dock Digital Music System has features; 2 channels,12 watts per channel, it costs about $200 Harman-Kardon SoundSticks II has features; 3 channels, 10 watts per channel, separate subwoofers, has a really good sound.

Travel to Try New Foods

We said in the previous companion article, “Foods That Can Make You Sick When You Travel Abroad”, that foreign travel and teaching English as a foreign language abroad are some of the most interesting and mind-altering experiences we can have. We travel to meet new people, to experience new cultures, to see bold new sights and to try new foods. We need to be wary of some “exotic” foods though. You want to avoid turning your dream trip into a nightmare. Truly the quantities of bacteria, protozoa, molds, fungi and parasites that can be ingested through food and drink are mind-boggling.

Here Are Three More Foods to Be Wary of When Traveling Abroad

o Raw, Uncooked Foods

Here we go again. Guess what one of the reasons for cooking foods is? Yup, you’re right. One of them is to kill germs, protozoa, bacteria and other unwanted micro-organisms that are in the things we eat for food. Unless you’re sure of the source and treatment of what you’re about to eat, be very wary of seviches, escabiches, sushis, sushimis and other raw, uncooked or partially cooked foods while abroad. And don’t think that just because it’s “pricey” or served in a “good” restaurant or hotel, that it can’t “get you”. One of my worst cases of shellfish poisoning was when I ate from a seafood bar at a well-known Atlantic City Resort.

o Stale Foods and Condiments

How old is the “salsa” that you’re about to pour on your food? Has it been sitting there since it was made yesterday, last week or even, gulp, before…? If condiments are sitting out they are subject to insects, bacteria and molds. The longer they’re “out” the “deadlier” they can become. Bread, rolls, jellies, marmalades and jams, among other condiments are always suspect in my book. This is especially true when abroad where health and food standards may be “compromised”.

o Local “Delicacies”

We’re all tempted to try some local “delicacies” while abroad. Never mind how they tease you, insist on knowing what it is you’re going to be eating. How it’s prepared and how “fresh” it is or how recently it was prepared. I’m also extremely prejudiced against any dish made with blood or with blood products in or on it. In the Holy Bible books of Genesis 9:4 and Leviticus 7:26, Jehovah God distinctly says, “And you must not eat any blood in any places where you dwell, whether that of fowl or that of beast”.

Take heed. Be safe.

Watch what you eat and drink while traveling on business or for pleasure or when teaching English as a foreign language abroad.

There are over a thousand varieties of MP3 players in the market, as this is one device that almost everyone wants and thus every company has tried to fulfil this huge demand. The different MP3 players are all different in shape and size, and the functions they perform, making it difficult to choose one, especially if you are a novice where technology is concerned.

Here are the top MP3 players on the market to make it easier for you to choose from all the variety. The first four are the best ones to have for their small sizes, and the last four are the best where storage and performance is concerned.

Size:

1. Apple IPod Nano: Apple’s IPods are undeniably the market leaders where MP3 players are concerned. The Nano is one of their newer additions to the IPod family, with an extremely thin body, and 2 GB and 4 GB storage. Like a hard-drive player, it prevents songs skipping but its size provides all the comforts of a flash player. It has a colour display and the famous click wheel for navigation.

2. Creative Labs Zen Nano Plus: The Zen Nano has Line-In encoding, for when you want to record directly from your CD player, as well as the ability to connect to your laptop directly with ease. It comes in 512 MB and 1 GB models, available in 10 colours.

3. Cowon iAudio U2: This MP3 player provides great quality sound, with its BBE sound system. It comes in three colours (red, black, blue) and the display even shows song lyrics. It comes with a built-in batter, which can be charged via USB or AC adapter.

4. Apple IPod Shuffle: The Shuffle weighs less than an ounce, and is the smaller IPod on the market. It’s a great option if you’re on a budget or love exercising while listening to music. There is no screen, and it plays songs on random, so it’s great if you aren’t one for making play lists and like being surprised. It connects to your computer via USB and randomly downloads a number of songs onto its memory, and so you’ll never know what songs are on it till you listen.

Storage:

1. Apple IPod: Known as the Video IPod, this IPod comes in 30 GB and 60 GB sizes, in black or white. The display and the size make it possible for you to watch movies or TV shows on it as well as store your entire music collection.

2. Epson P-2000: This MP3 player will replace your CDs and your photo albums completely It has a 3.8 inch display, and a 40 GB hard drive which can download pictures directly from your camera.

3. Toshiba Gigabeat: This device transfers music really fast from your computer and can store 10, 20, 40 or 60 GB, depending on the model. It comes with a subscription service, and allows you to copy music from a CD with a touch of a button.

4. Iriver H10: This is an extremely durable MP3 player which comes with its own protective sleeve. It comes in 5, 6 or 20 GB varieties and a replaceable rechargeable battery.

For a wide range of cheap Ipods especially cheap MP3 players try mavenmp3.com

I got a great price from a very popular internet retailer, and received my Samsung LN52B750 model in mint condition two days after ordering. I got free home delivery also, which I thought was great considering the size of the box!

I managed to get the TV out of the box and set up in my living room. When I turned it on all I could say was wow… The pictures were out of this world. I stuck on a Heroes DVD and the pictures were even better than before! It looked like Nathan and Peter Petrelli were having a conversation right in front of me!

This Samsung model has 1080p technology incorporated. 1080p means that the screen has 1080 horizontal scan lines. The more scan lines a screen has, the more pixels it has. 1080p is the highest picture quality available to buy today.

With the Samsung LN52B750 having the highest number of pixels available, it shows the sharpest pictures available, as the more pixels a screen has, the sharper it’s images are. This is all down to 1080p technology.

Another great feature included with this model is the Internet@TV technology. This allows you to browse the internet on your 52 inch HD screen via your remote control! You can surf websites like YouTube, Flickr and Yahoo! at the touch of a button. All you need is a wireless or wired ethernet connection and your ready to go.

When my new Samsung HDTV arrived, I set it up beside my old Toshiba HDTV so that I could compare the picture qualities of the two, and I have to tell you that this Samsung model blew it out of the water. Not only is the picture quality much higher, but with all the extra features the Samsung model has to offer, there’s really new comparison. I’d recommend the Samsung LN52B750 HDTV to anyone!

You are confused whether to buy an LCD or a plasma TV. But you are sure that you definitely want to buy a flat screen TV. Perhaps after reading this, you will be enlightened as to which choice you should make.

Let us first look into how each of these technology work. Plasma runs on gases xenon and neon while LCD TV operates of liquid crystals. In plasma, images area produced when electricity passes through the colored gas-filled cells. LCD TVs, on the other hand, create pictures as electric current passes through the crystals.

Plasma TVs have higher resolution than the old CRT TVs. It looks as if you are right there at the scene watching the actual thing taking place. LCD TVs are thinner and lighter than the plasma. They were originally used as computer monitors but they are now also being known to be used TV screens. Plasma screen sizes vary from 42 to 65 inches wide. They are three to four inches thick. For LCD TVs, they are 1/4 to four inches thick, and also can be as wide as 65 inches.

Image Quality

If you want a crisper and more detailed picture plasma TV is the one that you are looking for. The viewing angle is also great. You can stay anywhere in the room and the picture quality remains the same. LCD TVs are catching up with them though. Their difference is only a little bit. LCD TV manufacturers are improving their products.

Lifespan

The lifespan of a TV screen is the length of time or the number of hours used before the image quality starts to deteriorate. LCD TVs have longer life span. They have a screen life of more than 60,000 hours while plasma TVs only have between 30,000 to 60,000 hours. This is of course relative to the model and the way a consumer uses it.

Plasma TVs however are prone to burn in. This happened when you have been using the TV for quite a time and then the image seems to be imprinted on the screen. For LCD televisions, there is nothing to worry about burn ins.

High Definition TV

Both LCD and the plasma TV are capable of high definition. But among the two, LCD TVs have more screen pixels than the plasma television.

Playing Video Games

You can use either of them for gaming purposes. But if you will be playing most part of the day, you might want to settle for LCD TVs because they have no tendency for burn in.

Convenience

Since LCD televisions are lighter, it is less tasking to move them around. It is even convenient to mount LCD TVs on a wall.

Prices

If you want to have the best TV for your hard earned money, know first what you want in a TV. If you want TVs as large as 42 inches, plasma will have the better price. As of now, they are much cheaper than LCD TVs of the same size. But if you want to buy a small or medium sized TV, LCD are recommended because they have reasonable prices.

The Samsung 30 GB MP3 Playeris a relatively new mp3 player by Samsung to the market. But, this mp3 player will give the ipod a good run for the money. In a quick readers qlance it will hold up to 6000 songs this is good for music lovers, it also has video player and a photo viewer for when you want to take the pictures off your digital camera and put them on this mp3 player. There is a rechargeable Li-Ion battery is designed to last for up to 25 hours this is absolutely great. This Samsung MP3 Player has a white front face and black back. The LCD srceen is very clear for its size of it and gives you great picture contrast.

Samsung claims the YH-920 Hard Disc Drive, offers more memory, more song storage, plus more music and user-friendly features than most other digital audio sport devices. With this new mp3 player I would probably agree with them. Samsung delivers quality and value in all their products.

This Samsung MP3 Player [http://www.worldofmp3players.net/brandname-mp3-players.html] has an impressive combination of portable music player, including an FM Radio with MP3 encoder, and the ability to encode from line-in source material. It also has a 30GB hard disc drive packed into a unit that is less than two inches. This mp3 player also features a customizable EQ and plays music in MP3, WMA, Audible and Ogg Vorbis formats. The docking cradle allows you to connect to line-out sources like speakers or stereo audio components this is a very handy feature indeed. The versatily of this mp3 player is great because the USB 2.0 is compatible with Windows, so any music or personal mixes that are stored on a computer can be downloaded easily.

This Samsung 30 GB MP3 Player has superior storage capacity for music, long battery life and its extraordinary sound quality, the YH-920 offers the ability to enjoy your music collection with very few stops to recharge and reload.” The size of this mp3 player is another huge benefit to you the consumer as it will fit right into the palm of your hand. You can also buy a arm band or belt clip for when you go for walks or running or bike rides. Or just put this mp3 player in your pocket as you go out and about. Another great idea is take it with you on that long commute to work and back on the bus or hook it up to your car this is very easily done with a car adapter.

Brian Lupichuk invites you to World of mp3 players an information site focused on MP3 Players.
